METAL BRACES
METAL
Braces
Even with all the technological advances, metal braces are still the “gold standard” in orthodontics. They are the fastest, cheapest, and most hygienic orthodontic appliance on the market.
While they are not the most aesthetic option, for those who find treatment speed and effectiveness high in value then metal braces are an excellent option! We have lots of colors to choose from and kids love to change their colors at each visit.
Brushing & Flossing
Brush 3 times a day, floss at lest once a day.
Brush under, above, behind and around all surfaces of the teeth and braces. Floss using floss threaders which we can provide or purchase dental flossers for braces. Dental flossers are designed so that the flosser head can fit behind the wire for a faster flossing experience!
Loose band or Bracket
If a band or bracket is still attached to wire, leave in place. If uncomfortable, place wax on it. If it comes out completely, wrap brace bracket in tissue, and call the office.
Loose wire
Try to place wire back in place with tweezers. If there is any discomfort, place wax on it, and call the office.
Poking Wire
Try bending it so it is not poking you, and cover the end with wax. If you cant move the wire that’s poking you place wax over it and call the office.
After Hours Emergency
